Wijnand leads AkzoNobel’s global sustainability agenda as Group Director Sustainability. In this role, he is responsible for the development, implementation, and positioning of the sustainability strategy for AkzoNobel. To achieve our ambitious goals for 2030, we focus on innovation and proactively team up with our value chain partners to identify opportunities and create shared value. Wijnand joined AkzoNobel in 2015. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands) and has over 15 years of industry experience, ranging from R&D and Technology to Sales & Marketing and Procurement. Wijnand is also an active member of the World Green Building Council.
