As the representative of China's fourth generation of architectural media, UED explores renowned global architecture, cities, and landscape design works through trenchant perspectives, highlights sites of contemporary global design practices, discovers talented architects and designers both in China and the world, as well as focuses on the built environment changes in cities and countrysides. The magazine is a comprehensive media platform that integrates publication, new media, academic activities. Established in the year of 2004, UED Magazine was founded by Tianjin University and Liaoning Science and Technology Publishing House. It is an important vent for the field of Chinese architecture to openly demonstrate its achievements to national and international readers of interest. Ever since its establishment about two decades ago, UED Magazine has persevered in the tenet of "rooting in the domestic soil while looking to the whole world". It leads the new trend and fashion in the field of architecture, and combines expertise, style, and foresight into one. UED Magazine was selected into Chinese Media TOP100 by Research Institute of People.com.cn, and is the only architectural medium of the included. China Periodicals Fair rated the magazine as "the most beautiful magazine of China". Readers of the magazine cover more than 40 countries all around the world.
